Lovers Rock is a Macalester community event brought to you by WMCN, Compassion in Action and SPACES collective.
Doors are at 8pm.
Live music by Rosie and DIQUAZAY will begin at 8:30. during this time, there will be refreshments for people to experience the art curated by @rel1g1ous.th0t. Art submissions are due 2/9.
At 10pm, the gallery/live performance will come to a close and there will be a dance party, DJed by MEIRAVERSE, a student at Macalester.
The INTENTION of this event is to create a fun party space on campus that feels safe, welcoming and exhibits the communities understanding of love during this valentines season. This exhibition is intended to reveal that there are more forms of love other than romantic, including community love, platonic love, queer love, and self-love.
Dress code is dress how you feel.
Because this space is off campus and held in the home of a Max student, we ask that you treat the space and homes of the tenants with respect. We are excited to host an event with people who are willing to show love and respect to our space!
